About the Distillery
Talisker 10yo, the Golden Spirit of Skye, is a turbulent Gaelic malt ; the only single malt from a spectacularly beautiful island of wild moorlands and dramatic mountain peaks.
The oldest working distillery (built by the MacAskill family in 1830) on the Isle of Skye is set on the shores of Loch Harport with dramatic views of the Cuillins. Producing an alluring, sweet, full-bodied single malt is so easy to enjoy, and like Skye itself, so hard to leave.
Talisker 10yo - Our Thoughts
Sip Talisker and savour the bold marine influences of the Island of Skye. This malt gives an excellent example of the ‘seaweedy’ flavours found in the island malts.
Distillers Tasting Notes
Color: deep gold
Nose: slightly sweet, phenolic and sea loch, earthy and smokey
Body: full, well-balanced and round
Palate: a robust, smooth balance of smoke, salt, spices, malt and wood
Finish: long and deep. Peppery, peaty and salty, with a profound Hebridean depth and afterglow.
